Gurkha Cigars has begun shipping its special edition Nicaragua Series to exclusive retailers, a cigar the company introduced during the 2019 International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) [read more here]. The cigar is made by Aganorsa Leaf using an Aganorsa Corojo ’99 claro wrapper, a double binder of Aganorsa Corojo ’99 and Aganorsa Criollo ’98 filler tobaccos. The cigar was released at this year’s IPCPR Show and was made available by invitation only to Gurkha’s top retailers who were allowed to buy five boxes per size per store. The Nicaraguan puro is a medium- to three-quarters full-bodied cigar, which will be made available to all retailers by next year.
Gurkha’s Nicaragua Series cigars are available in four sizes: Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 x 54), Magnum (6 x 60) and Belicoso (6 1/8 x 52). All of the cigars are packaged in 20-count boxes.
