Enemark’s design was inspired by the organic aspect of Davidoff’s cigar crafting. She was inspired by the way the stems of the leaves are removed, which dividing the tobacco leaves in two. She reflected this process in the crack that runs across the glass surface of the humidor. This required much precision on her part, even though the design may look accidental. Enemark applied gold to the leaf to give the humidor an element of luxury. Enemark commented that the, “gold highlights the beauty of imperfection.”

She also chose to render this print in gold. The cigar fingerprints are 24-carat decals on the glass in addition to gold plated brass pieces inlayed in the walnut wood of the humidor. These serve as the bridge between the elements, glass and wood. The glass and wood are layered to create the ‘architecture’ of the humidor, mirrors the layers of a cigar.
