Gurkha Cigars is making additions to its value cigar offerings by introducing Castle Hall, a Connecticut seed wrapped cigar and extending its popular Prize Fighter line with a Maduro version.
“These new offerings epitomizes what a value cigar should be, which is a great cigar for a great price,” said Jim Colucci, President of Gurkha Cigars in a press release announcing the cigar additions. “These cigars have the quality and flavor of premium cigars but at an incredibly attractive price point.”
Castle Hall was an old Cuban brand revitalized by Gurkha. Castle Hall features an Ecuadorean Connecticut wrapper, a Ecuadorean Habano binder and a Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobacco blend. Mild- to medium-bodied and smooth, Castle Hall is available in three sizes: Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 x 54) and Magnum (6 x 60). Each of the three sizes is packaged in 20-count boxes.
Gurkha’s popular bundle cigar, the Prize Fighter, is now available with a Maduro wrapper. The Dominican cigar is crafted using a Maduro wrapper, a Sumatra binder and a Cuban sandwich filler blend of Dominican long filler and short filler tobaccos. The Prize Fighter Maduro is available in the same sizes as it’s Connecticut counterpart—Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 x 54) and XO (6 x 60)—and is packaged in 20-count bundles, 60-count three compartment trays and specially designed fresh-lock pouches that contain five cigars per pouch. Both Castle Hall and Prizefighter cigars retail for less than $5 per cigar.
