Villiger Cigars has revealed another IPCPR 2017 release–the Villiger La Flor De Ynclan. This special cigar, crafted by Villiger chairman Heinrich Villiger and master blender Jose Matias Maragoto of the ABAM Cigar Factory in the Dominican Republic.
This cigar’s story goes back 22 years ago when Heinrich Villiger came across Jose Matias Maragoto, a Cuban native, while in the Dominican Republic. Maragoto was, at the time, an unknown cigar maker who was beginning a new life in the Dominican Republic. After two decades, the La Flor de Ynclan has been the product of the bond shared between Villiger and Maragoto and their shared passion for tobacco.
Villiger Cigars produced a small batch of La Flor De Ynclan over a decade ago but were not satisfied with the final result, leading to production being ceased. To tobacco was set aside and aged, while Maragoto tweaked the amount of the Indonesian, Dominican, and Nicaraguan tobacco within its Ecuadorian wrapper. Today, La Flor De Ynclan is what Villiger and Maragoto intended for it to be.
