“To have had the chance to work with Hanson on this was reward enough, he was an incredibly talented man with the driest sense of humor,” said Nivaud. “To see this finalized and ready for market is amazing.”
To create the blend for First Series Unidas, Hanson’s palate was used to help select what were his favorite tobaccos from Davidoff’s Dominican Republic factory. This enabled them to create a cigar that maintained the Hammer + Sickle profile but also had United Cigar’s signature kick. The cigar comes in 20-count boxes with both companies’ logos and also has a zip tie to add a tamper-proof security measure. Only 300 boxes of 6 3/4 x 46 have been produced for this release. Each cigar has an MSRP of $9.00 while each box will sell for $180.00.
