Earlier this year, Maya Selva Cigars launched its new Cumpay Lancero. This new Lancero has the elegance of a unique savoir-faire. In a press release, the company described this cigar as an “expression of a grand cigar that has power, finesse, and complexity. It features a complex array of aromas, with a hint of espresso, hazelnut and leather, revealed through an unusual progression where potency precedes mildness.”
The addition of the Lancero is another expression in the Cumpay line and its wide range of aromas and sizes. Cumpay is a Nicaraguan puro cigar: it’s a blend of whole leaves, binders and wrappers all sourced from tobacco plants grown in Nicaragua which gives the cigar a unique flavor and surprising character.
The 7 x 38 Cumpay Lancero consists of a Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper, a binder grown in Estelí and a selection of filler tobaccos grown in Nicaragua. The Lancero Cumpay comes packaged in 20-count boxes and takes approximately 65 minutes to smoke. According to Maya Selva, this cigar pairs well with dry white wine.
In addition to the new Lancero, Maya Selva’s Cumpay Collection consists of the following vitolas: Short, Robusto, Volcán, N°15, Corona, Churchill, Robusto Maduro, Volcán Maduro.
