Tobacconists should be on alert for a pair of limited edition releases from Alec Bradley Cigars. The company has announced that the seasonal releases of Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock cigars will be returning to retail shelves on or around Feb. 18, 2022.
Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole was first introduced back in 2016 while Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock made its debut in 2019. Both cigars highlight “first grow” bright green candela wrapper tobacco and were launched to help bring in the spring season. The dual-wrapper Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole also has an added lush, coca-colored Nicaraguan Jalapa leaf that adds to the cigar’s richness and balance. The candela leaf on the Filthy Hooligan Shamrock is emphasized by its Nicaraguan Habano Maduro and Habano Natural wrapper that adds to the cigar’s overall complexity. The wrapper envelop a blend of Ecuadorian binder and Panamanian and Honduran fillers, tobaccos shared with the original Alec Bradley Black Market.
“We love using ‘first grow’ candela wrapper in different combinations,” commented Alec Bradley founder, Alan Rubin. “The double wrapped Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and the tri-wrapper Filthy Hooligan Shamrock have great sweetness, complexity and balance. Our candela has really unique flavor characteristics which enthusiasts seek out in our annual releases.”
Both of these limited edition cigars are presented as 6 x 50 Toros. The Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole is packaged in a green and black-striped box containing 24 cigars, each with a retail price of $11.15 per cigar. The Filthy Hooligan Shamrock comes in a grey box that features a large Shamrock on the top of the lid. Each box contains 10 cigars, each with a suggested retail price of $13.25.
Tobacconists that have placed an order for this cigar can expect it to arrive on or around Feb. 18, 2022. Alec Bradley Cigars began pre-selling its 2,000 box production of Fithly Hooligan Barber Pole and its 1,500 box run of the Filthy Hooligan Shamrock Cigar back in August 2021. Both production runs sold out immediately.
