As part of its continuing global expansion, Villiger Cigars has announced the opening of Villiger Do Brasil, a new factory based in Brazil. Translating from Portuguese to “Villiger of Brazil”, Villiger Do Brasil is the next evolution of Villiger’s ongoing relationship and use of Brazilian tobacco, which dates back to its launch back in 1888.
“Brazilian tobacco holds a special place in my heart. My grandparents saw the value in Brazilian tobacco when they began Villiger Cigars as very small operation in 1888, and we have continued the tradition of using this very special tobacco in many of our brands,” said Heinrich Villiger, chairman of Villiger Söhne AG, who is passionate about Brazilian tobacco. “We feel that the hard working and passionate team at Villiger do Brasil will help us increase the awareness of Brazilian tobacco worldwide.”
