“Everyone at the factory in San Pedro de Macorís is extremely proud to be a part of this cigar project that directly reflects the local way of life in this town, one that seeks to enhance everyday experiences and enjoyment, no matter what it is. We can’t wait for you to try these cigars,” added Francisco Batista, Royal Agio’s master blender in the Dominican Republic.
The San Pedro de Macorís Ecuador cigar has a shade-grown Ecuador Connecticut wrapper which gives it a creamy, medium-bodied smoking experience with notes of vanilla and white chocolate and a hint of peppery spice. The San Pedro de Macorís Brazil has a sun-grown Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper and is also medium-bodied. It has notes of cacao, dry nuts and coffee beans. Each San Pedro de Macorís blend will be offered in 20-count boxes in the following three vitolas – Perla (4 1/8 x 40), Corona (5 7/8 x 42), and Robusto (5 1/8 x 52). The MSRP ranges between $4 and $5.50. These new blends will begin shipping to U.S. retailers in August 2018.
