Mombacho Cigars S.A. has announced that the company’s founder, Cam Heaps, will be assuming the role of president of Mombacho Cigars. Heaps founded the company back in 2006 while on a back-packing trip to Central America and after being inspired by the spirit of the people of Nicaragua, the country’s vibrant culture, and the stunning beauty of historical Granada. Heaps finished his trip with a cigar that was smoked on top of Volcano Mombacho, a moment that eventually led to 15 years of successful manufacturing and sales, direct from the heart of Granada, Nicaragua.
Heaps has over 30 years of experience in the craft beer industry. He was the co-founder of Steam Whistle Brewing. Most recently, he and several business partners revived the well-known Pantera Performance Boats brand.
