The Legend
of La Sirena
In a recent expedition to Lake Nica-
ragua, which archaeologists feel was
once a large bay alongside the Pacific
Ocean, a discovery was made. On the
last day, in one of the deepest parts of
the lake, a cave with the treasures of
a mermaid was found. Among these
treasures was the Dubloon, a 7.25x56
Salomon. The name comes from the
Spanish coins that surrounded this
new, rare size. The rarest of all was
stamped with a distinctive “8.” These pieces of 8, the La Sirena Dubloon, come
packaged in an eight-count box, of which only 500 are available. They will make
their debut at the IPCPR show in Las Vegas. Like the Sirena “A,” they feature a dark,
toothy Habano Oscuro wrapper, two Cuban-seeded Nicaraguan binders, a Nicara-

Toraño’s Newest
Exodus
Toraño Family Cigar Company is releas-
ing just 3,000 boxes of Exodus Finite,
their latest boutique cigar, a true puro.
Hand-made in Nicaragua, Finite’s blend
combines an all-Nicaraguan filler of Es-
teli, Condega and Ometepe tobaccos
with a Jalapa binder and Habano-seed
Jalapa wrapper. “Although the wrap-
per and binder are both grown in Ni-
caragua’s Jalapa region, the wrapper
is shade-grown viso and comes from a
higher priming, whereas the binder is
sun-grown seco and is among the first
leaves picked,” explains Bruce Lewis,
vice president of sales and marketing.
“This blending gives the medium-bod-
ied Finite its well-balanced character,
one that hints of roasted nuts, comple-
mented by a raisin-like sweetness. The
finish is long and features a cedar note.”
Finite (MSRP $8-$9) comes in three
sizes: 4 7/8”x52 Robusto, 6 1/4”x52
Toro, and the popular 6”x60 BFC. It
joins the company’s legendary Exodus
“Trilogy,” which began in 2001 with the
