La Barba Cigars Ricochet Mexi-Sol to Debut at IPCPR 2019

Tony Bellatto of La Barba Cigars has announced the next cigar in his Ricochet line. The Ricochet line is a series meant to tie into Bellatto’s roots as a Sommelier. Each blend takes on a component of wine that he has fallen in love with.

The first Ricochet blend, released last year, was blended to reflect his love of Italian Zinfadel, or primitivo, taking cues from the wine like spicy, earthy, leathery, and a little sweetness and spice. The latest line, named Ricochet Mexi-Sol, is a blend inspired by Left Bank Bordeaux. Bellatto describes it as a very balanced and complex blend with a definitive spicy mineralogy and a touch of soft sweetness. The name “Cru Mexi-Sol” comes from its Mexican Sungrown wrapper. The cigar features an Indonesian binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Pennsylvania, and the Dominican Republic.
