Drew Estate has announced the hiring of Bryan Bird, a cigar industry veteran known for his 19-year career at Thompson Cigar Company. Bird served as Thompson’s Director of Merchandising, a role he held since 2015. He began at Thompson Cigar Company working in the call center and quickly progressed to managing and fine-tuning the company’s retail operation. He was promoted to Thompson’s buyer and marketing manager in 2011.
At Drew Estate, Bird will serve as the company’s director of sales and national accounts. He will report to Ike Karipides, Drew Estate’s director of national account channel.
