While the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailer Show (IPCPR) has been known as the event that introduces new cigars to the market, Gurkha Cigars will be changing things up due to the FDA deeming rule. This year, Gurkha will be re-releasing some of its popular predicate brick and mortar brands at this year’s trade show and convention. This includes Gurkha’s Master Select, Havana Legend, Blendmaster’s Cask and its Cellar Reserve 10 Year Anniversary.

“We are very excited to bring back some of our most classic and popular cigars,” said Kaizad Hansotia, CEO of Gurkha Cigars. “Due to the upcoming laws of the FDA, we thought it would [be] perfect to celebrate the most successful predicate brand cigars.”

Here’s a run down of each predicate cigar Gurkha will be featuring at this year’s IPCPR show:

The Master Select
Originally introduced in 2001, the Master Select was that year’s best selling cigar for the company. Made by the Olivas family in 2001, Gurkha discovered that Fidel Olivas still had the original recipe for this cigar, allowing the company to re-release this cigar and its unique blend known as the OVB (Original Vintage Blend).

The Master Select will be available in their original packaging and will be available in five sizes, retailing from $7.50 to $11.50 per stick. This is a mild to medium smoke featuring a Habano wrapper, Honduran/Habano binder and Nicaraguan/Dominican filler. It will be available in late July.

Havana Legend
Originally part of the Gurkha Legend Series, Havana Legend will be back with a rare vintage Habano wrapper. It’s a medium to full-bodied smoke with a peppery and nutty flavor and will be available in four vitolas. Retailing between $5 and $9, Havana Legend will be available in early fall.
