FDA's ANPRM for Flavored Tobacco Flooded with Fake Comments

The stakes are high as the deadline for submitting comments to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) various ANPRMs (advanced notice of proposed rule making) comes to an end. Among the three ANPRMs is one seeking comments on the regulation of flavors in the tobacco products, which could have a great impact on e-cigarettes and e-liquids [read more here]. A Canadian news source is bringing into question just how valid some of those submitted comments are with claims that the website responsible for accepting those comments has been compromised.

RegulatorWatch.com claims that the FDA’s ANPRM for flavors in tobacco products has received over 225,000 “fake” anti-vaping comments.
