TOBACCO BUSINESS
NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2013
L
il’ Brown Smoke Shack’s golfing
fundraiser raised $53,000 for the
John Hunter Foundation.
One hundred and thirty-two golfers
joined Lil’ Brown Smoke Shack and
its company sponsors in June to
raise funds to serve the needs of
school children in and around Central
Washington.
Specifically, the event benefitted
a school built by the John Hunter
Foundation—founded by Lil’ Brown
Smoke Shack—which opened in 2010.
“We have heard many positive things
in the community about the impact the
school is making,” said a spokesperson
for the company. “Students are thriving
in the new environment. The goal of the
John Hunter Foundation is to donate the
school building and land to the Harrah
Community Christian School.”
The company’s 3rd annual Stogies
& Steaks charity golf tournament was
held at the Mount Adams Country
Club in Toppenish, Washington, where
participants enjoyed 18 holes of golf
against a picturesque view of Mt.
Adams and the Yakima Valley.

Brown thanks the following
