Ventura Cigar Company has announced the latest release within their Archetype cigar line, Chapter 3. This new addition will consist of two new tobacco blends and will officially launch at the 2019 International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) trade show and convention in Las Vegas.
Archetype Chapter 3 will consist of Sacred Scales and Dawn of Destiny and are crafted by famed cigar maker Ernesto Perez-Carrillo in his award-winning factory located in the Dominican Republic. This new “chapter” is inspired by the work of psychologist Dr. Carl Jung and mythographer Joseph Campbell. It taps into the Hero’s Journey, a common storytelling arc that has been shared across cultures and many works including literature, film and theatre.
Chapter 3’s Sacred Scales marks the inflection point in this journey, beginning the hero’s return to the real world from the imaginary. This full-bodied, full-flavored cigar offers a rich, signature Ernesto Perez-Carrillo smoking experience. It features a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper, Eucadorian binder, and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. It will be available in a Toro (5 x 50) and Gordo (6 x 60) size.
Dawn of Destiny represents the hero’s return to reality as it travels across the threshold of flavor. A medium-to-full-bodied blend, this Perez-Carrillo-crafted cigar features a smooth wrapper from Ecuador, which surrounds a binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua. Dawn of Destiny will be available as a Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), and Gordo (6 x 60) vitola.
