Hurricane Irma has forced the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) to move its 2018 conference location and date.
Due to the damage caused by Hurricane Irma on St. Maarten, the TAA, the 2018 has been moved and rescheduled for April 29-May 3, 2018 and will take place at Casa de Campo in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Prior to Hurricane Irma, the 2018 TAA was scheduled to occur April 15-19, 2018 at the Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa in St. Maarten. It should also be noted that this will be the 50th anniversary of the conference and that the organization has held its conference at Casa de Campo before in previous years.
The TAA was established in 1968 and sets out to provides its members with the tools and relationship building opportunities that will increase their chance for success in the brick and mortar category. It offers its members some exclusive cigars from the top cigar manufacturers including La Flor Dominicana, Padrón, Drew Estate, Nat Sherman, Rocky Patel and Tatuaje, to name a few.
