The Cigarette Store Corp., doing business as Smoker Friendly, has announced the acquisition of MSMB, Inc., a 3-store chain doing business in Hickory, North Carolina.
Smoker Friendly will immediately takeover all three locations. MSMB’s Stewart and Mary Beth Ruehl were both longtime Smoker Friendly dealers and now plan to retire. Smoker Friendly will retain MSMB’s staff to operate the stores.
In a press release, Dan Gallagher, Chief Operating Officer (COO), of Cigarette Store Corp., commented: “This was a great opportunity to acquire well run stores, that fit into our North Carolina footprint, we wish Stewart and Mary Beth well in their retirement.”
Smoker Friendly operates 1578 stores in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, Missouri, Florida and North Carolina. With this latest acquisition, Smoker Friendly will have 160 stores in seven states with other 800 employees.
