Santa Clara will be giving one of its best-selling exclusive cigars new life with a maduro release this year. The third version of the Rocky Patel Freedom is now available as a maduro, rounding out this popular portfolio with a unique blends of tobaccos that offer notes of nuts, espresso, cocoa and a touch of spice.
Rocky Patel Freedom is a medium to full-bodied smoke made with an Ecuadorian wrapper. The blend was inspired by Rocky Patel’s continued effort to fight for the cigar industry’s freedom. After its initial release, the company followed up with a flavorful Connecticut version. The new maduro offering is said to bring something new to the brand while keeping the consistency that Santa Clara’s customers have come to love and expect. The maduro take on the Rocky Patel Freedom is described as being a powerful Nicaraguan Puro that is made with aged Nicaraguan tobaccos. In addition to the cigar’s Nicaraguan filler and binder, the cigar features a dark Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro wrapper.
“With the success of Rocky Patel Freedom and Freedom Connecticut, we fully expect the Maduro release to be a big hit with adult cigar smokers,” said David Joyce, director of wholesale operations for Santa Clara. “It is specially made for Santa Clara by legendary manufacturer Rocky Patel, a proven name and brand that should be part of any retail humidor regular cigar rotation.”
