CAO, a brand owned by General Cigar Co., is coming out with a new version of Vision. This is the first new CAO Vision release since the 2020 edition that featured a Cameroon wrapper.
This limited edition blend is made exclusively with Habano-seed tobaccos, each grown in microclimates that surround the STG Estelí factory where the cigars are made. CAO Vision is comprised of a. Lush, reddish-hued Honduran Jamastran Viso wrapper, a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder and a blend of Nicaraguan fillers from Condega, Estelí and Jalapa.
“On the one hand, Vision expresses CAO’s commitment to the past through its dedication to old-world craftsmanship. And on the other hand, Vision takes a look into the future, with ultra-modern packaging that shatters the conventions of the handmade cigar category,” commented Ed Lahmann, senior brand manager of CAO, in a press release. “Vision embodies CAO perfectly, as a brand that challenges the status quo while keeping a firm eye on tradition.”
According to the company, CAO Vision begins as “… a creamy smoke with a subtle natural sweetness and progresses to include notes of wood and chocolate, peppered with a rich spice”
CAO Vision will be presented in just one size, a 6 x 52 Toro that will have a suggested retail price of $18.99 per cigar. The cigars will be presented in a 30-count humidor that was designed to look futuristic and includes holographic foil treatments, working LED lights and tow push-sensitive drawers that each hold 15 cigars. Only 1,700 humidors will be released in the U.S. to select retailers beginning Nov. 1, 2022. CAO Vision will be available to select retailers in Europe during the first quarter of 2023.
