LaMirada Introduces Habano Viejo in Three Sizes

LaMirada has a new cigar now available to retailers: the LaMirada Habano Viejo. Made in the Dominican Republic in collaboration with Tabacalera Palma, this cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that was chosen for its medium, dark color. The cigar’s blend is said to be spicy and full of taste with progressive flavor notes accented by Piloto Cubano and Criollo 98 long fillers along with a Dominican-grown Corojo binder.

“This is a cigar with warmth and richness that values a cigar smoker’s time,” commented Anthony Rodriguez, LaMirada’s national sales director. “Our Habano Viejo delivers a bolder experience to help build loyalty to LaMirada as cigar smokers move beyond smooth.”

LaMirada Habano Viejo is available in three sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), and Gordo Magnifico (6 x 60)–all three sizes will come in 20-count boxes. There will also be a special 10-count box offering containing the Toro Reserva with 5 each of Habano Viejo and Connecticut Shade. A 4-pack pouch with 2 each of the Habano and Connecticut will also be available for distribution in June before July’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show in Las Vegas.

LaMirada is a joint effort between LaMirada Cigar Company, which launched as Bahama Mamas Company back in 2016, and Tabacalera Palma. The collaboration between the two companies dates back to 2019 with the 90 and 91-rated Connecticut Shade wrapped cigars that were offered in four sizes. The next cigars slated to release will be a Maudro series featuring a 2018 Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and Dominican filler grown by Tabacalera Palma in the Cibao Valley.
