La Palina is giving its Classic Line some new life. This value-priced cigar line from La Palina has been one of its most highly rated and to give it new life, La Palina is expanding it to include three new blends: Rosado, Connecticut and Maduro.
La Palina Classic was originally produced at the PDR Cigars Dominicana factory owned by Abe Flores in Tamboril, Dominican Republic. The new cigars in the Classic line will be made by General Cigar Co. in the Dominican Republic. The Rosado blend will be made primarily from Honduran tobacco, except for the filler which will use some Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco. The Connecticut offering will have an Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper draped over a Dominican binder and feature filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The Maduro blend will have a Honduran wrapper, Honduran binder and will use filler tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
La Palina Classic Rosado will be available in three vitolas: Robusto (5 1/2 x 50), Toro (6 1/4 x 52), and Lonsdale (6 1/2 x 44). La Palina Classic Connecticut will be available in three vitolas also: Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 1/4 x 52), and Churchill (7 x 48). La Palina Classic Maduro will be available in three vitolas: Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 1/4 x 50), Gordo (6 x 60).
