La Palina and Room 101 Announce Lock Down Program and Virtual TelethonLa Palina and Room 101 have announced the creation of a new program to support local brick and mortar tobacconists as the COVID-19 continues to disrupt businesses across the U.S. Lock Down is described as a virtual consumer that was created to support smoke shops that are physically closed due to, or partially impacted by, the coronavirus. The program also ensures the health and wellbeing of La Palina and Room 101 retail partners and their respective staffs by creating a no contact delivery program that is supported by digital and social media activations.

Lock Down doesn’t just make it safer for La Palina and Room 101 to continue to operate as the coronavirus pandemic progresses but the new multi-platform program ensures that smoke shops will receive the bulk of the revenue, with all the remaining funds going to support continuing efforts and grow the retailers, as well as La Palina’s and Room 101’s virtual business segment as the world deals with and recovers from the coronavirus situation.

A press release announcing the program describes Lock Down as follows: retailers phone, email or reach out via social media to their existing customer base introducing the Lock Down care package, which retails for $69.99 plus local sales taxes. The Lock Down package includes:

  • Three (3) La Palina Classic Robustos (Connecticut, Rosado, Maduro)
  • One (1) La Palina Illumination Belicoso
  • One (1) LP1 Petit Corona
  • Five (5) Room 101 “Fu Pack” (event exclusive cigars)
  • One (1) La Palina wine key
  • Ten (10) raffle tickets

The actual value of this package is $129. La Palina and Room 101 retailers will process their respective customers sales and will then proceed to provide La Palina and Room 101 with shipping addresses. La Palina and Room 101 will drop ship care packages on the retailer’s behalf and the retailer will receive an invoice from La Palina at a later date based on the total packs shipped. Consumers who want to purchase a care package, and participate in the raffle, but are unfamiliar with participating retailers in their area can email and a customer service representative will refer them customer to the nearest brick and mortar partner. All orders must be received by April 15, 2020, PDT.
