At this year’s International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) trade show and convention, General Cigar’s La Gloria Cubana introduced a new full-bodied cigar to its portfolio.
“We named this collection in honor of the artisans of our factory in Estelí who did a fantastic job creating the blend and brining a deeper taste profile to the La Gloria portfolio,” explains Steve Abbot, senior brand manager for La Gloria Cubana. “We’re confident fans of La Gloria Cubana will enjoy the modern flavor of ‘Estelí’ and recognize the spirit of Nicaragua in this exciting new collection.”
The new La Gloria Cubana Estelí is a full-bodied take on the classic brand, featuring what the company considers to be the best Central American tobaccos available. This new cigar has a bold, dark wrapper grown in Nicaragua’s Jalapa Valley. The wrapper provides the cigar with a multi-dimensional tasting experience and rich flavor. In addition to the wrapper, the cigar features a Honduran Jamastran and La Entrada fillers and a Jamastran binder that together creates a complex smoke with notes of cedar, spice and white pepper. La Gloria Esteli is a medium- to full-bodied smoke that will be available in three vitolas: Robusto (4 1/2 x 52), Toro (5 1/2 x 54), Gigante (6 1/4 x 60). MSRP will range from $4.99 to $6.99 per cigar.
La Gloria Cubana Estelí is expected to begin shipping in August 2018.
