Cigar industry veteran Jose Blanco has been named Senior Vice President of E.P. Carrillo Cigar Company.
“Ernesto and I have been friends for many years. Ever since my early days at La Aurora, I have always thought very highly of him both on a professional level and a personal one,” Blanco commented. “These days, our premium cigar industry is going through a lot of changes, and as always throughout the years, Ernesto and I discuss the good, the bad and the ugly from all aspects. After long discussions and traded ideas, we felt this to be a great professional decision for the both of us.
“The company I have been involved with until now, Las Cumbres Tabaco, will be managed by co-founder and co-owner, Emma Viktorsson, together with her own brand Freyja and my blend Senorial and all LCT-lines. After a long time of preparation, I feel completely confident in giving her full reign. From today forward, I will be working solely for EPC Cigar. I cannot think of anyone I would love to work for and with as much as Ernesto, his family and his team. I have tremendous respect and admiration for EPC Cigar as well as for its blends. I feel we are on par in taste and in blend, feel for tobacco and business direction.”
