There’s a new full-time cigar coming from La Gloria Cubana next month. The La Gloria Cubana Serie S marks the first time the brand will be using a Mexican wrapper in a blend. The Mexican San Andrés wrapper used in the Serie S was grown in potassium-rich volcanic soil. Following an extended, low-temperature fermentation process, the Serie S wrapper has a warm, golden brown color that hints at the slightly sweet, earthy qualities that it imparts on the smoking experience.
The Serie S’s Nicaraguan binder and blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos deliver a flavor profile that’s described as “leather, light spice” and also has a pleasant aroma.
“Serie S combines large-ring formats, expert blending and fine craftsmanship in a medium-to-full-bodied smoke. We believe this new collection will be a well-received addition to the brand portfolio,” commented Steve Abbot, director of marketing for La Gloria Cubana.
