E.P. Carrillo is expanding its La Historia line with a special release for this year’s Tobacconists Association of America (TAA) conference set to take place at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic, March 17-21, 2019.
The La Historia 656 will be an exclusive cigar made available to retail members of the TAA. It will feature a San Andres wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. According to Cigar Aficionado, La Historia 656 will retail for $11.50 per cigar.
In an interview with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo from Cigar Aficionado, this cigar will measure 6 x 56, with the 56 ring gauge being one of Perez-Carrillo’s favorite. He says this particular gauge will give the La Historia blend more complexity and flavor. The 56 ring gauge is not the largest in E.P. Carrillo’s portfolio but is still on the large size. It will be produced at Tabacalera La Alianza S.A.
