Drew Estate has begun shipping the Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro and the repackaged Herrera Esteli Habano and Norteno.
During this the 2018 International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) trade show in Las Vegas, Drew Estate revealed the new look for its Herrera Esteli line [read more here]. The Herrera Esteli line was blended by Willy Herrera, Drew Estate’s master blender.
“With the Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro, I wanted to bring the Mata Fina to the forefront of this blend. This tobacco has such a unique texture and it showcases the lush floral and earthy notes I wanted to capture in this cigar. In addition, now that the Herrera Esteli line has been repackaged blending modern simplicity with classic Cuban style, it really shines on our retailers’ shelves and brings unity to the brand,” commented Herrera.
The Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro features a dense plantation-grown Mata Fina wrapper, a Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf binder with fillers from Nicaragua. The cigar is crafted at La Gran Fabrica, Drew Estate’s cigar factory in Nicaragua. The cigar will be presented in five different vitolas: Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro Robusto Grande (5 1/4 x 52), Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro Toro Especial (6 x 52), Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro Lonsdale (6 x 44), Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro Fino (6 x 52), Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro Short Corona Gorda (5 7/8 x 46). Each will be presented in the newly refreshed design and packaging and will come in 25-count boxes.
The Herrera Esteli Habano features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Honduran binder, and filler leaves from Nicaragua. It will be availble in five vitolas: Herrera Esteli Habano Robusto Grande 5 (1/4 x 52), Herrera Esteli Habano Toro Especial (6 x 52), Herrera Esteli Habano Lonsdale (6 x 44), Herrera Esteli Habano Piramide Fino (6 x 52), Herrera Esteli Habano Short Corona Gorda (5 7/8 x 46).
The Herrera Esteli Norteno features extensively aged tobaccos from the Esteli and Jalapa growing regions of Nicaragua. It has a spicy Honduran binder, and rich, bold Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper. This cigar will be available in five vitolas: Herrera Esteli Norteno Robusto Grande (5 1/4 x 54), Herrera Esteli Norteno Toro Especial (6 x 52), Herrera Esteli Norteno Lonsdale (6 x 44), Herrera Esteli Norteno Piramide Fino (5 x 50), Herrera Esteli Norteno Short Corona Gorda (5 7/8 x 46).
The Herrera Esteli Habano, Norteno and Brazilian Maduro have begun shipping to retailers while the Herrera Esteli Miami will begin shipping in January 2019.
