Davidoff Cigars is celebrating the Chinese New Year with its latest exclusive limited edition release, Year of the Pig. This new release will include cigars and a line of accessories.
2019 marks of the Year of the Pig, a year that celebrates luck and wealth of the Chinese zodiac sign of the Pig. The Pig is known for its compassionate and generous nature and those born in this year are believed to have a natural talent for success and are good luck for those around them. When a Pig is in the room, the atmosphere brightens, something Davidoff aims to achieve with each of their cigars.
The Year of the Pig will be available in an impressive pigtailed Gran Toro, fitting for the Chinese New Year. The Gran Toro measures 6 x 56 and is wrapped in a shiny and oily Habano 2000 wrapper from Ecuador. Once lit, notes of cream, pepper, and oak wood can be detected. The Negro San Andrés binder from Mexico and well-aged filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and Dominican Republic create a sophisticated, complex and flavorful blend. Year of the Pig has notes of leather, pepper, roasted hazelnut, oak wood, and fresh spices. MSRP per cigar is $39.00.
In addition to the cigar, Davidoff will also be releasing a special edition Year of the Pig ashtray. Made in Italy, the ashtray’s round aluminum ashtray is enclosed in a grained, red leather to help it contrast with the ashtray’s rich mocha color. The ashtray has a holder for two cigars and has the Davidoff logo engraved on it. It is limited to just 300 pieces and has an MSRP of $395.
Year of the Pig cigars and ashtray will be available at appointed Davidoff merchants and Flagship Stores in the U.S. beginning in November 2018.
