Altadis U.S.A.’s Grupo de Maestro master blenders and A.J. Fernandez are teaming up for a new release–Gispert Intenso. The new Gispert Intenso cigar will be made in Nicaragua and feature a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, a binder from Nicaragua, and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler.
Compared to the other cigars in the Gispert brand, this new cigar is far stronger and bold, highlighted by the intense and dark packaging. It’s a full-bodied cigar that takes the brand in a new and interesting direction. It’s also another cigar A.J. Fernandez collaboration done with Altadis U.S.A., following Montecristo Crafted by A.J. Fernandez and Romeo y Julieta Crafted by A.J. Fernandez.
The Gispert brand of cigar originated in pre-revolution Cuba. The Gispert cigars were phased out of production following Fidel Castro’s rise to power and the nationalization of the cigar industry.
