Alec Bradley Cigar Co. will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Fine & Rare series with a release of a limited edition box featuring all five Fine & Rare iterations.
Alec Bradley Cigar Co. founder Alan Rubin set out to create a cigar using 10 different aged and selected tobaccos. To create such a cigar, the task was entrusted to just a single pair–one roller, one buncher–to bring this project, which would go on to be known as Fine & Rare, to life. Since 2011, there have been 5 different blends released under the Fine & Rare project. Each have been yearly, limited edition 10-count boxes. Some iterations had more than one release. For each Fine & Rare batch, Rubin had the factory set aside part of the cigars in the factory’s aging room in anticipation of having a commemorative set. Fine & Rare is handcrafted at the acclaimed Raices Cubanas Factory in Danlí, Honduras.
“I’m really excited to be able to present the Fine & Rare 10 Year Anniversary set,” Rubin commented. “I went through all of the different iterations and chose the vintages that had the best overall flavor development and performance. Fine & Rare is an ever-evolving concept and leaving batches to age and re-release adds another dimension to the complexity of the project.”
