Effective Oct. 15, 2017, the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) will be without a CEO. Today the trade association announced the upcoming departure of Mark Pursell who has lead the cigar industry trade group for the past three years.
“On behalf of the Board, we appreciate the opportunity to work with Mark over the next month to ensure a smooth transition,” said Ken P. Neumann, President of the IPCPR.
John Anderson, Vice President of the IPCPR, added: “While change can be a challenge, IPCPR has a great staff team in place. They have the full support of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.”
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity IPCPR provided me,” commented Pursell. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity IPCPR provided me. It has been a challenging period for the entire industry and I’m proud of the organization’s work to lead the way forward. There are many challenges remaining. IPCPR has the right leadership and staff to face the future.”
