J.C. Newman Cigar Company has announced personnel changes within its marketing department. Kara Guagliardo (left) and Monica Foster (right) have been announced as the the co-marketing directors of the company, effective immediately. Guagliardo and Foster will work together to develop and execute all marketing strategies for the company while also managing its communications and media program.
“We had planned on conducting a national search to fill our director of marketing vacancy. However, over the past few months, it become increasingly clear that we had tremendous talent already within our marketing department,” said Eric Newman, president of J.C. Newman, in a recent press release. “They bring over 12 years of marketing experience between them within our company and we are confident that Kara and Monica will be great additions and add value to this important role.”
Also, Cristal Blackwell-Lastra has been promoted to the position of Vice President of sales and marketing. Lastra will oversee setting the strategic sales and marketing direction for J.C. Newman’s international sales network and promotional program. Guagliardo and Foster will both report to Lastra and work in tandem with the company’s sales division.
“The new structure will enhance the synergy between sales and marketing toward a more focused vision of J.C. Newman Cigar Company to our retailers and consumers,” says Lastra. “This is a pivotal new chapter for our company, comprised of a capable and creative team ready to take us to the next level and beyond.”
